the post production is an absolute nightmare!
Here are a few of the boo boos that happened... First, I only had the theatre until 4pm because somebody bungled up the schedule. The window of opportunity for the shoot was very small that I had to content myself with certain fuck ups in favor of finishing the shoot earlier. Second, I wasted time dealing with a very minor problem from one of the staff. Third, we did the gig live and I knew the nightmare that would follow... It's called Murphy's Law!
But nevertheless, I got good shots. It's basically a four-cam shoot and the angles were all decent for a rock concert.
I've not been happy lately over several matters and this dvd concert was something that gave me a break from the stresses of my regular life.

ALAMAT - BINTANA

on adrenaline overdrive...
on a frantic work pace after the shooting day of Alamat's sister band under sunset studios' Black Pipe - Araw at Ulap the concert DVD... my week and my face turns ugly with long days and longer nights piecing together the edit points of the video. Considering that I used only three cams for the shoot (one of which I hate because it's on a dvd format), it was indeed a daunting task.
3/4 of Alamat was there on the day of the shoot and was blown away by the scale of the endeavor. That night, we had dinner together and they seemed a tad excited about their turn for a full-scale shoot. Of course, that would mean that they'd have to finish the remaining cuts for their album first.
So after a long absence from the studio, Alamat returns today with five songs to "catch up". I wasn't particularly excited with the idea since I really wanted to take a break from recording and studio work. But after hearing the first cut titled "Bisyo", my adrenaline shoots up again with new ideas and the excitement of making the music video for the single.

Pagdaan by Alamat
This is one of the most fun i've had making a music video. it was supposedly a serious mv but unfortuntely or fortunately, alamat's bassist aris can't help himself. The song was written by Ivan Scott Mariano (drums) for alamat. I produced and engineered the recording sessions via a straight to disc recording set up in my office studio and directed and edited this mv. I really like the song the first time i heard it so we all decided to post it so that we could have some feedback mechanism of some kind via youtube. Hope you guys like it.
